Grounds Technician – Capistrano Beach, CA, US
The Grounds Technician performs cleaning, trimming, weeding, mowing and maintenance on all grass and plants at the hotel. The Technician cleans and care for the walkways and other areas including the parking lots. The Technician is responsible for the maintenance and care of all tools used while performing assigned tasks in the Landscaping department. The Technician is responsible for the growth, care, trimming of ornamental plants, trees, ground cover and grass. The Technician needs to report any problem or damage to sprinklers, property, plants, dry areas, walkways, pest and insect damage to the Grounds Supervisor, Director and/or Assistant Director of Engineering.

Detailed Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform cleaning, trimming, weeding, watering, mowing and maintenance on all grass and plants at the hotel.
Clean and care for the walkways and other areas including the parking lots.
Responsible for the maintenance and care of all tools used while performing assigned tasks in the Landscaping department.
Responsible for the growth, care, trimming of ornamental plants, trees, ground cover and grass.
Report any problems or damage to sprinklers, property, plants, dry areas, walkways, pest and insect damage to the Grounds Supervisor, Director and/or Assistant Director of Engineering.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to stand. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Preferred:
Previous experience in landscaping desired.
Familiarity with landscaping, hand and power tools preferred.
SKILLS
Required:

Operate machines/tools in assigned area.
